My favorite childhood toys were anything related to The Man from U.N.C.L.E., LEGOs, and an Etch A Sketch.

My 3 children and my wife, who have encouraged me when I needed it, corrected me when I was wrong, and taught me that trying my best ,not perfection, is what's important

Spending time with family, travelling with my wife, running races, staying in shape, watching Columbo, reveling in my children's and my patient's accomplishments and anything Fighting Irish.

My brother was 3 years ahead of me and became a doctor, so there was precedent for me. My first clinical rotation in med school was pediatrics- I felt the most fulfilling life was to watch children grow, and help them recover from illnesses both physical, mental, social and emotional. I enjoy working with parents to find solutions for the above, and sharing similar experiences I've had in my over 40 years of practice. I tell them my job is not only to treat what malady has affected them, but to do my best to make them happy in their young lives and develop healthy habits along the way.

I try to listen and look at patients and their parents with compassion and a desire to help them come to a mutually acceptable course of action. They come to me seeking a professional visit, and sometimes we may have different opinions. However, I always address what is best for the patient primarily while discussing parental points of view. Listening is paramount.

We have wheelchair access and handicapped parking and are available to help them into the office and exam rooms with gentleness and respect.
