"The Little Engine That Could" because it's a beautiful story of going above and beyond what you think possible in an effort to help others.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Legos
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My dad. He is one of kind- fun, loving, and silly, yet the most serious hard worker and disciplined man I know. .
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
baseball, hiking, going on adventures with my wife and son
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Truthfully, I am a big kid at heart. So helping kids be the best, strongest, and healthiest version of themselves is fun and rewarding.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I try to connect with each child in a meaningful way to make them feel comfortable and cared for as much as possible. Each of my patients know that they matter to me. How I connect with them varies greatly depending on the child (age, development, temperament, etc.), but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. =)
