I enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending time with family.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
When I was little, my favorite book was a pop-up skeleton and muscle book. In kindergarten I declared that I wanted to be a pediatrician when I grew up, and it stuck ever since. Working with kids and being a part of their lives from infancy through adulthood is a priceless gift.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
Children always come first from the very first time I meet a new patient, I adjust for where they are at. Weather a newborn that just needs to stay warm, a toddler who wants to sit on the floor, or a teenager that needs someone to listen, being attune to the patient's needs is first and foremost.
