The Secret Garden because I wish I could have a garden like that.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toy were LEGOs.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My daughter has always been my inspiration. Her kindness, bravery and resilience inspires me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Spending time with family, travel, chasing sunsets, reading, dancing, exercise.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Since I was little, I always knew I wanted to work in pediatrics. I have a passion for early childhood development and helping support caregivers of children with special healthcare needs.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years in multiple roles. I started as a nursing assistant in a newborn nursery, worked as a medical assistant in outpatient pediatrics, then as a registered nurse in pediatric home health visits, mainly working with NICU discharged newborns and children with special healthcare needs. I also have experience working in a pediatric urgent care and teaching pre-licensure nursing before becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner.
