Perhaps you just delivered a baby or your child needs specialty care. Arbor Pediatrics is here to help — even when you’re being cared for away from our offices. We work closely with hospitals and specialist doctors throughout Arizona to make sure your child receives the care they need, including the smooth transition of treatment plans and medical records back to us.
Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! At the hospital, your newborn will receive care from a pediatrician or a pediatric hospitalist (a primary care physician who works exclusively in the hospital environment). Though we make rounds at many Arizona hospitals, this doctor may or may not work for Arbor Pediatrics, based on the rules of the hospital where you deliver.
Seeing a pediatrician or a pediatric hospitalist employed by a hospital does not guarantee better care for your child. You also have the freedom to see any pediatrician you want as soon as you leave the hospital, based on factors like their proximity to your home, their reputation in the community, the services they offer, and more.
You will need to schedule your first pediatric visit within 48 hours after you get home from the hospital — and Arbor Pediatrics has you covered! Wherever you plan to deliver, let us coordinate your new baby’s care. Call our office now to book your first appointment.
It’s hard for any parent to think about their child spending time in a hospital. Arbor Pediatrics will work hard to ensure your child has access to the specialty care they need and deserve — whether that means connecting you with specialists in your area or working with your insurer to get the hospital stay approved.
Even when your child receives care elsewhere, Arbor Pediatrics is still by their side, coordinating with the hospital and/or specialty care team to keep your child’s medical records updated. We will also help transition your child’s care back to us when their treatment is complete.
