What is your favorite children's book and why?

Goodnight Moon, because it was my son’s favorite book.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

Any ball, I love basketball, baseball and golf.

Who is your greatest inspiration and why?

My greatest inspiration is my mother, she raised 8 children as a single mom and inspired them all to work hard and dedicate life to family.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I spend a lot of time golfing and traveling with my wife and enjoy it when we get to combine the two. I am looking forward to my children joining us to travel as they get older and have time to travel.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I have always had ability to connect with children and enjoy teaching parents about childhood development. I have been told by many parents that children who do not like other adults somehow show me they like me by either talking to me or giving me high fives, etc. that they would not normally engage with another adult.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

I have a passion for families with ADD/ADHD as I can empathize with their experiences as my child went through the process of diagnosis and treatment.

My ability to share my own experiences and understanding how difficult it is to navigate the healthcare system allows me a unique rapport with families.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

The biggest accommodations I make for patients with special needs is to give them extra time and attention.
